A Room With a View

Shortlisted for the Architects’ Journal Small Projects Award in 2007, the refurbishment of this family home creates a striking extension that opens the house out into the garden increasing daylight and visibility of the sky. Natural materials and transparency between the rooms are maximised and the new layout of the kitchen and living area creates intimate seating areas including a window seat formed out of the new picture window.
