Manuel studied at UCL (The Bartlett). After graduating, he was employed by RT James & Partners, Consulting Engineers for two years. Here he was the sole in-house architectural consultant for a wide variety of projects, the majority being sports & stadia related projects. This is where Manuel began his specialist knowledge of stadia design, developing a detailed understanding of stadia regulations.
