Vicarage Road was short listed for the 'Don't Move Improve Awards'  2010.

The brief was to provide a parents' retreat with a degree of separation from the main Victorian family house in South West London and initial sketches outlined a modern take on a summer house.

The new rooms are linked to the main house with a light-weight glazed box which provides a natural acoustic break from the rest of the house, adding to the sense of seclusion. The upper storey is timber clad to reflect the natural setting amongst the trees with the roof designed to incorporate an option for rainwater harvesting. On the top floor the parents' bedroom has the illusion of being in a tree-house with windows looking out into the surrounding garden greenery.
