Barnet F.C. currently play at The Hive London Stadium, an international sports complex that AndArchitects have a long history of working with the Club to developing the site and facilities. However, it has always been the ambition of the club to return back to their historic home, Underhill.

 The scheme proposes a new seven thousand seat capacity stadium with associated parking, a community medical centre and extensive re-wilding to the areas South of the site. The design intent is to create a light touch eco stadium, where the structure is nestled under the hill and wrapped in vegetation to create a low profile yet iconic home for the football club. The horizontal bands wrapping around the stadium create continuity between the 4 stands, whilst the slatted timber is a subtle reference to a Hive and the clubs nick name the “the bees”.
